Resistive Touch Button

A resistive touch button can be as simple as two pads on a PCB that are not connected — they make up an open circuit.

To close the circuit, simply touch the two pads with your fingers, thus creating a closed circuit which a microcontroller such as the BBC micro:bit can detect in software.
