Short Circuit

A short circuit is when current flows down the wrong or unintended path with little or no electrical resistance from any components. This can cause serious damage, fire, and even small-scale explosions. To prevent short circuits, we must always ensure our PCBs are traced correctly, and that our our positive and negative paths do not cross in unintended instances.
